Early Help

If you need help with accessing food parcels, benefits, housing, finances, counselling,       parenting courses, english classes or adult education please ask to see Mrs Sally Appadu. She can make an early help referral. There are many agencies that can help families at the      moment in Birmingham. You can also access Family Support by phoning Doddington Children’s Centre on 0121 477 6440

Attendance

We understand that children are unwell sometimes but it is also important for us to      promote good attendance at nursery.

The reasons for children to attend regularly at their Early Years setting are to support their learning and development, to make sure that children are kept safe, their wellbeing is promoted, and they do not miss out on their entitlements and opportunities.

Those children whose attendance is above 90%  by end of the Autumn term will be

awarded an excellent attendance certificate.

Applying for School Places - when can your child start school?

Children in Birmingham can start school (Reception) in the September after their fourth birthday.

If your child was born between  1 September 2017 and 31 August 2018, they will be able to start school in September 2022.

When to apply

Parents can apply for a place in the Autumn of the year before their child turns 4 years of age. It is important that you apply for a place as soon as possible:

Here is the website

https://www.birmingham.gov.uk/schooladmissions

If you need any help with applying for a school place then please ask to see Mrs Sally Appadu and she will help you.

Allergies

Please do not send your child into school with drinks, sweets or other food. We have several children who are severely allergic to fish, pulses and eggs etc. Please note we are also a nut free school. Thank you.
