Nursery News Letter January 2021

Message from Mrs Cryan and Mrs Sally Appadu Happy New year! We hope you are all ok and had a lovely break. It looks like some of the children have grown taller over the Christmas holidays! Dates for your diary Maths Week- w/c-25/2/21- more information to follow We will be learning about Chinese New Year- w/c 8/2/21 We break up for February half term on Friday 12th February February half term is Monday 15th February 2021-Friday 19th February 2021

B30 FOOD BANK Thank you for your generous donations for the B30 Food Bank. We will be delivering the food collected to the food bank based at Cotteridge Church in the next few weeks. You are all so kind, thank you!

Reception School places- for children born between 1 September 2016 and 31 August 2017 The final deadline for applying for a school place is this week on Friday 15th January 2021 So if you haven't applied already please do so as a matter of urgency. If you need any help with this then please phone the school office and Mrs Sally Appadu will help you.

Family Support and Emergency Food If you need help with getting emergency food, benefits, housing, finances, counselling, parenting courses, English classes or adult education please see Isma at Reception and make an appointment to see Mrs Sally Appadu. She will be able to get the right help for you.

Dinner Money and School fund Please pay Dinner money to David at Reception. Dinner money is £2.00 a day. Please also remember to pay school fund as this buys the lovely extras that our children have. £1 per week for part time children £2 per week for full time

Wearing Masks We need parents to wear masks (unless exempt) when they; Bring and collect their child and are waiting outside Come to reception to pay dinner money or school fund Come and chat to Mrs Sally Appadu. This is so that we can keep everyone safe. Thank you

School Website Please visit our school website at the following address. https://lilliandelissa.sch.life/ We are regularly updating this website and it has lots of information for parents including websites links where you can access support and home learning ideas. There are videos of the teachers reading stories to you. Take a look! We will be getting the app to our website which will be working soon. This means we can contact all our parents very easily. Look out for a letter about our app. Your teachers will be handing it out this week.

Allergies Please do not bring in snacks with your child as they come into nursery. We are still finding snacks, nuts and sweets in children's bags and sometimes in their coat pockets. We are a nut free school and have children who attend with various allergies. This is very important.
