Nursery News Letter June 2022

Hello to all our lovely families! We hope all our families are keeping well. I can't believe it is our last half term for this year! You have received a seperate letter about the news of Mrs Mandy Cryan's retirement. As a staff team, we are extremely sad about the news but we wish her all the best for the future. She will still be working with us on a regular basis next academic year. Mrs Mandy Cryan will always hold a very special place in our hearts at Lillian de Lissa. There are lots of important dates and events coming up this half term, please make a note of them. On Thursday 21st July we are hosting a community party day for children and families. This will start at 9.00am and end at 12noon. This is a perfect opportunity for you to spend some time with Mandy Cryan. I am sure that you will want to wish her all the best for the future. Kind regards, Sally Appadu

We have recently opened Lillian’s in our N2 provision. It is a clothes rail which has a variety of children’s clothes. Parents can take up to 3 items of clothing per week and it is completely free. Parents from N1 are welcome to come to Lillian’s.

Ask at Reception if you do not know where to find it.

We have had positive feedback from parents about this resource for the community

Early Help and Family Support

If you need help with accessing food banks, benefits, housing, finances, counselling, parenting courses, english classes or adult education please ask to see Mrs Sally Appadu. She can make an early help referral. There are many agencies that can help families at the moment in Birmingham.

You can also access Family Support by phoning Doddington Children’s Centre on

0121 477 6440. You can leave a message with the receptionist and a duty family support worker will phone back. They will phone you back on the same day between 12noon and 4.00pm.

Dinner Money and School Fund

Please pay dinner money to David in the office.

Dinner money is £2.20 a day. Please also remember to pay school fund as this buys the lovely extras for our children. £1 per week for part time children £2 per week for full time children.

This needs to be paid in advance every week

Allergies

Please do not send your child into school with drinks, sweets or other food. We have several children who are severely allergic to fish, pulses and eggs etc. Please note we are also a nut free school. Thank you
